It makes no difference to me, but thought it best to point out asap that 30th April is the Saturday of the May Bank Holiday weekend, just in case your "other halves" have other plans.

I've received no objections to the date,I hope to be able to confirm the venue very soon as Rydale. The format of the workshop will consist of some theory and discussion and some practical-so bring your bikes and your GPS

Updated list now looks like this;

Cardiff (Bob)
Bfb1150 (Ryland)
Andy Leet
Dave & Val
Mad Mikey
Ralphy
Dennis
Slimbo
EJ
Bob James
Andrew Bird*

(*may well have changed his name by then  )

See you all there,I'll announce a time nearer the date-probably make it impossibly early to suit the West Wales insomniacs

Steve.

I've just had it pointed out to me that the *ONLY* reason I can do it is because its a Bank Holiday so I will have Sun/Mon to do the family thing and Fri/Sat for playtime.

Venue now confirmed as Rydale BMW Penarth Rd Cardiff, will post arrival times nearer the date

Ralphy-put your foot down 1 day to yourself from a 3 day Holiday weekend is not unreasonable

Ryland;maybe you could turn up for the remainder of the day, when your shift finishes, see you at Abercrave next week? We can discuss it then.

Room for a couple more if you're interested...................

Regards,

Steve.

LOL I think she's having an affair I've never known her be so compliant to my GS play-time. Maybe I'm a sulky thing when she says no. Oh well I guess if someone else is treating her and buying the gifts my meagre pennies will go a little further

You mind if I bring the missus along Steve? We're off to USA on 5th of May and will be taking the Garmin with us (we have an American one with American maps) and of course the missus is the one who uses it and programs it while we are there. I have enough trouble driving on the wrong side of the road for lords sake

Anyway if there's room then she'd love to come along too

Cheers

Bob

Just a quick headcount,it seems as though Dave & Val can't make it after all
Myself
Andy Hobdell
Cardiff (& better half)
Andy Leet
Madmikey
Dennis
Slimbo
EJ
Bob James
Birdy
Ryland (Bfb1150)-is a maybe
& Gerry Huxtable

Although this is a "members only" event, there is the option of joining "on the day" if any of you know any body else likely to be interested bring them along.
So we;ve got 10 definates,1 maybe and a couple of possibles

If anybody does not have a gps already can you let me know,so that Andy can guage the level of tuition required,as already stated this will take the form of theory & practical so bring your bikes-whatever the weather

Sorry

Sorry for the late reply, I have been trying to get out of the other (Family) commitment, but its a done deal and I'm stuck with it, as I booked the Hotel last night.

So I'll still be the one that can't work the GPS properly......

Maybe the next one will be in the southwest....

Wanted: Laptop PC

Does anyone of those coming to the workshop have a laptop with Mapsource installed on it - or even a laptop without Mapsource installed on it as I can install Mapsource on it for the workshop.

I will be bringing mine and if Snowslider can make it we'll have two but 2-3 would be best. Let me know please, if we haven't got available laptops then I'll re-jig the workshop plan.

I'll bring the jelly then. Looking forward to this - what time do you want us ? I'll have the GPS but will be in the car - the whole family are heading East after the workshop, so I can't take the bike. If anyone fancies a lift down, just give me a buzz - but I'm afraid you'll have to make your own way back.

Humvee. Just a suggestion, but do you want me to go through the "other site" to dig up a list of problems which others have encountered? May be a good idea to print off the answers too .... just in case.
